When is a rock band not a rock band? When the rock band is called MOGWAI.

Feel is proud to present Scottish sonic terrorists MOGWAI who are set to
add to the Livid mix and perform their own satellite club shows in Sydney,
Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth.

MOGWAI is a group simultaneously focused and unhinged, and as rooted in
tradition as they are compelled to refute traditional music practice. But
to put it plainly they remain one of the few truly awe-inspiring and
original acts on the planet.

Live it seems every song pushes the limits of volume and sheer intensity of
sound with one English reviewer noting ³ Sometimes you can hear more
emotion in the melodies and white noise than vocals can ever express²

Together since 1995, they have a number of recordings to their credit such
as the highly acclaimed long player ³CODY² of `99 and the equally loved
³ROCK ACTION² which was released last year. And ever faithful to their
recordings, the MOGWAI live show is like their records you play on your
stereo - brooding and intense.

Musically MOGWAI incorporate a mixture of instrumentation such as the
flute, vibraphones and relaxing xylophones that set a balance between the
lapses of dark and crunching guitar riffs. This is a band that shows a
willingness to experiment with with their songs formats, building from the
quirky drum attack into the emotional cascade of white noise and rushing
guitar melodies that fans know and love.

MOGWAI will be joined in Sydney and Adelaide club dates with co-headliners
TRAIL OF DEAD. So if you like surprises and have an acquired preference for
the ?not so mainstream¹ genre of music out there then it¹s time to get
blown away by the MOGWAI wall of sound and the sturdy bridge they have
built to get there.
