accelerator festival website
other acts included interpol, damien rice, james yorkston & the athletes and the kills.
from christian sandberg:
just came from accelerator festival. some good bands. some really shit bands. great venue, man.
mogwai was not the best thought. damien rice was. i truly recommend picking up his records. truly amazing. words can't describe.
i had to go after '2 rights..' because i had to catch the train back home, but i'm sure i heard the chords to 'my father..' on my way to the train. i don't think they played anything else after 'my father..', maybe they did, but since they played a festival the time was probably tight to squeeze anything else in.
from jens agren:
oh dear! i have to correct christian sandberg writing that mogwai wasn't the best band on
the accelerator festvial. of course they were! they were completely awesome. yes, they were in a bit of a hurry to end the show at 11pm, but the somewhat-rushed end of 'my father my king' blew us all away. written on my setlist i got, mogwai had to skip 'kids will be skeletons' and 'i know you are but what am i?'.
