coachella festival
mogwai played on the second day of the sold-out festival. the line-up included flaming lips, air, belle & sebastian, danger mouse, !!!, broken social scene, dizzee rascal etc etc.

they dedicated 'you don't know jesus' to the pixies. due to technical difficulties (ahhh, festival in the desert heat) they came on about 10 minutes late, but they still quit at the end of their scheduled time so they could go see the cure. in between were possibly the most blistering 40 minutes of the entire festival. i saw them last fall in seattle, and i think they were about 45% louder at coachella.
