straight ahead: i've seen many better mogwai-performances - but whatever that means with mogwai, it still was a good gig! but the big spark seemed to be missing. maybe because they didn't perform punchy numbers like megasnake, batcat, ithica, summer or no here. maybe because of the chatting festival-audience. maybe because there weren't any surprises on the setlist. still a tight gig with stuart being in a very good mood. personal highlights were the best version of jim morrison i've heard so far + a doomy version of rano pano in which barry missed out on the keyboards in order to play bass. however, due to the setlist special guest luke was hardly seen on stage.
