    from paul o'reilly:

my friend and i had travelled up to belfast the night before to the mandela hall gig, which was incredible. overall it was a better gig than belfast, mainly due to the olympia theatre being a great venue both size and sound-wise. there were 6 mirror balls hanging over the stage. 'helicon 2' with the flute was beautiful (i just wish there was a way to get the flute version on tape/cd). it was lovely to see 'yes! i am a long way from home'. it brought back memories of when i first heard 'young team' and fell in love with the band. this was my first time seeing 'fear satan' live and when it came back in after the quiet flute but it f***ing roooooocked!!! stuart had to take out his earplugs because he seemed to be having peoblems with hearing his guitar at the end of '2 rights..'. for the last few minutes of 'jewish hymn', stuart sang spaceman 3's 'lord can you hear me' over the walls of noise. the highlight for me definitely 'like herod'. it was my first time seeing it live since the last time they played the olympia in '99. my ribcage moved a couple of inches when it rocked the first time and my whole insides shook the second time around. i love this f***ing band........
