The Assembly Rooms was in use for other Edinburgh Festival Fringe events during the afternoon. A full PA was installed for this show and soundchecks were still ongoing at the scheduled doors time of 8.45pm. Mogwai played at least Ex-Cowboy and Travel Is Dangerous during their soundcheck.
