i should have guessed mogwai were supporting as barry burns stole our menu in the pub about an hour before the doors opened at g2. i think it was just for the glasgow show. i walked into the garage to witness them finishing off mogwai fear satan and almost creamed myself. then there was some rubbish indie band after the mogwai set. then gybe! played for 2andahalfhours. they did a new track which sounds like a 10 minute long instrumental pop song then went off stage and came on for the encore featuring stuart and dominic. i talked to stuart after the gig and he said it was completely impromptu with no prior practice of the song .

me & a m8 popped in, snuck up to the front bar just b4 mogwai strolled on stage, it was hysterical as i didn't recognise them, and blasted: "who are these jokers?" to which my m8 replied- how ironic would it be; if these guy's were called: 'the jokers' *lol* their first track was immense!:! i stood gob-struck until i (again) burst out laughing, as they got 'jiggy with it' (coz it looks like they're wanking*!!:) *lol* i can't remember the track list, but they only played about 4 tracks? b4 they strolled past me as they left - mr braithwaite (it's not growing back, up top?(:-) is a lot smaller/symmetrical, in real life :)
