Impressive...but I actually think the venue was too small. Mogwai's sound
is so incredibly huge that they need air space to dilute it. The place was
hot and very smokey, so comfort was an impossiblity. Regardless, Ganger
played a short set of 4 or 5 songs. Some of them were good, some were not
simply because you couldn't hear a word the lead woman was mumbling. It
was kind of nice though because a few people in the jam-packed venue
left, leaving me with a clean path to the front.
Mogwai battled a few tech. problems, a deep thundering hum being the
dominant one...
Highlights: New Paths, Summer, and Kappa.
it was an awesome experiece, you Islanders are a lucky bunch....
