i missed the first song, but i thought i heard 'yes! i am a long way from home' as i was coming in. they went on at 5 instead of 5:30. they played to a large amphitheatre that was about a quarter full, but still pulled off a magnificent performance. it was definitely the "quick and dirty" mogwai, as there weren't any noisy improvisations between songs or after the set. 'ratts' was especially brilliant; blisteringly loud, even for a venue that size. the show did make me appreciate having seen them in a more intimate setting, though.
