now, the shocking news first: with his haircut, lacoste shirt and his merciful instrument Martin had a shocking similarity to – phil collins!:-) anyway: mogwai had great fun on their final tour-gig, though stuart felt urged to stop 'xmas steps' after 30 seconds or so to tell the rather annoying crowd in switzerland’s snobcity to shut up (what i’ve never seen in a mogwai gig before). the gig was more spheric and less rhythmic than the evening before - getting really noisy at some points. they really blew it up on '...blow up your school' and in 'batcat’s showdown the band had to wait quite a while to re-enter after the middle-part until john – in ecstasy – had turned all the stage-amps on maximum volume! indeed a worthy final of the tour.

how great that they're gonna tour france in february - i'll be there!
