    from nme.com blog (tim chester):

kings of leon’s big turn turned out limp souffle compared to a) their glasto set and b) mogwai’s run through of seminal post rock set text ‘young team’ in its entirety. before multiple thousand spanish kids (and a small contingent from aberdeen) in dayglo blue halos, it was close to that favourite journalistic cliché, an epiphany.

    from brizer:

i was there at barcelona!!! can confirm that they played a blinder.... and myt in it's entirety and in order from "long way" to "fear satan". stuart did indeed play drums on 'a cheery wave' only to supplement the drum sound. all of the tracks thrived in the environment including some that were never previously my particular favourites such as "with portfolio"

it was unfortunate that the hideous sex pistols set overlapped the last 2 songs as that drew about half of the audience away....guess they were attracted by the circus freak show of rotten et al. however those that remained, including a sizable scots contingent, gave the boys a good ovation. the venue, an ampitheatre, was perfect for the sound.

simply unforgettable, even my wife who is not exactly 'gwai's biggest fan, enjoyed it and believe me that says it all....
