the portland show was definitely great, although the slightly random lineup of bands (cursive, the rapture) was kind of strange. seems like a quarter of the crowd left after the rapture, which was disappointing to see. as for mogwai, stuart was sporting the batman t-shirt that night. it was the most ferocious "my father my king" i've seen them do, with some evil bass licks towards the end. it was also good to hear "herod" and "kappa" back in the set. i met barry burns on the street after the show and he was as nice as could be.
