    From Sam:

Yet another out-of-state road trip to see Mogwai. Hadn't seen them in over 2 years, and all the new material sounded awesome. The show wasn't painfully loud until Stuart started using his VOX wah-wah pedal at the end of "Rano Pano," which caught me way off-guard because the frequency/volume boost he gets out of that thing is insane. Sounds like static amplified tenfold over the other effects! He used it during "Satan", "Batcat" and "2 Rights", all of which were highlights. The Errors drummer filled in excellently. He especially nailed "2 Rights," which felt longer than in the recent past. Some dork next to me hand-clapped really loud throughout the intro, which pissed me off, but at least he was enjoying himself. "Satan" ended with 7 to 10 minutes of biting wah/tremelo drones, with Stuart laying his guitar ontop of Dominic's bass head as he left the stage.

At the start of the encore, the band had intended to play "Helicon 1" in place of "Hunted by a Freak." Their sound tech guy even set down the stool Stuart usually sits on, only to remove it and make a guitar change, and the first song of the encore was changed a THIRD time to "Auto Rock." Neither "Hunted" nor "Helicon 1" were played.
