    reviews/comments

    from richy:

mogwai were great last night. best i've ever seen them. crowd were (mostly) really cool - all obviously really into it.

a couple of technical glitches - one of the guitars carked it at a fairly crucial point and the bass was a little quiet at first - but otherwise really slick.

did someone make a point about the lightshow recently? not something i usually take much notice of, but spotlights off mirrorballs always work for me - it really complemented the sound, warm reds and blues... *sigh* it was beautiful

almost tempted to go to brighton, now...

    from bob a scott:

as usual, superb, awesome etc. a technical problem of some sort during 'ratts'. loads of noisy bastards chit-chatting away who were shushed into silence during the quiet bit before the huge bass on 'xmas steps'. nice to have 'mogwai fear satan' finish it off rather than the usual 'mfmk'. sound was pin sharp, nicely loud, but no earplugs necessary. friends are starting to think i made the earplugs thing up to scare them, but they weren't at brixton academy a couple of years ago.
