encore: thanks to ian potter.
thanks to jeff millar.
from ian potter: the band (and the support, the impressive decoder ring) got amazing receptions, the highlight was probably a vicious version of 'mogwai fear satan'. of the new songs, 'nursery' is a relative placid track that stays relatively quiet thoughout, 'moomin' is louder but still relatively calm compared to most.... at the end of 'my father my king', as most of the band had left stuart and barry fiddling with their fx pedals on stage, the drummer from ...and you will know us by the trail of dead came out, sat down at the drum kit and started pounding away as the noise reached a crescendo. stuart looked round, somewhat bemused at first as to what was going on, but then smiled and went back tampering with his pedals.... |
