tour info
support from arab strap, machine translations and malcolm middleton.
spunk records.
from march:
the gig started with stuart saying: "we don't normally, uhh... introduce
songs, but this seemed kinda apt. this song is called yes! i am a long way from home.."
from brett:
last night's cruise was un-f***ing-believable! quite possibly the
greatest gig i've ever had the privilege of attending.
malc (from arab strap) kicked things off in solo mode whilst the boat
was cruising around the harbour, followed by oz band machine
translations, then on strode malc and aidan from arab strap and
previewed a lot of new material from their upcoming record (stuart
joined aidan for the first track, a sick anchors tune).
then it was time for mogwai... amazing. there
aren't words to describe how good they were last night.
xmas steps, you don't know jesus, helicon, (not in that order) and then to
finish things off the 20-min strong epic that is my father, my king.
killer.
